This story starts in an unfamiliar and dark time in my life.

In 2019 I was convicted with trafficking marijuana and had to give up a year of my life for my mistake. I had already graduated from college with a bachelor in art history with a studio minor, but never got the change to advantage as I planned for my master’s degree because of financial difficulties and getting wrapped up in a lifestyle.

During these times I would travel to a lot of festivals all over the country and fell in love with the culture the excitement and open mindedness people bring to these events. I always took notice of the clothes and how free people are. That’s the first time the idea of starting my own brand that reflects those ideologies came in my mind, but it was just an idea.

After my conviction I realized two things, one I can no longer pursue my goal of getting my master’s degree because I was scared, I was wasting money; and two it was never my dream it was only a goal to impress my parents, and my true dream started emerging.

As I sat in my cell day in and day out, the seed I planted years before started sprouting, and I realized then what I was going to do when I got out.

My mission at Big American Bake Out is to make people feel good in their own skin, no matter the background, sex, education, or country or origin.

I want to bring conscience and awareness to different cultures and people through apparel to make us feel empowered, like we are a part of something bigger, not just a brand.

I want to be celebrating life and giving an equal voice to everyone though creative images or just fun or impactful images that gives a voice, even when not speaking.

My vision is to see “Bake Out” apparel in Beijing China, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, or a small town like Bloomsburg Pennsylvania and having people be loyal to the brand as well as bring camaraderie to those who wear the brand.

Here at Big American Bake Out we believe our customers are our biggest assets for creating and exploring ideas. We want to embrace all backgrounds and cultures and reflect that in our brand.
